What are the formalities to enter for a trip in Peru?

Entry formalities – Visa and passport

European citizens and North American do not need a visa to enter Peru, but your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your departure from Peru.

The entry stamp affixed to your passport authorizes you to stay in Peru for a maximum of 90 days, but the duration is at the discretion of the customs officer.

Exit ticket

Upon entry, you are generally required to present a plane ticket or other means of transport to leave the country.

Travel insurance

Although not compulsory, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance covering medical expenses and repatriation for the duration of your stay.

Vaccins

No vaccinations are compulsory, but it is advisable to be up to date on common vaccines such as yellow fever, hepatitis A and B, depending on the region visited. The yellow fever vaccine may be required depending on the origin of your flight.
